For thirty years the Iowa Finance Authority, or IFA, has helped put low and middle income citizens into homes. It specializes in four areas, the first of which is housing needs such as assisting the homeless population, getting families into rent controlled buildings, and first time home buyers help. Secondly, the IFA is in charge of bond selling for housing development projects. Thirdly, IFA works with local communities to ensure clean affordable drinking water and waste management. And lastly, the IFA Title Guaranty Division makes sure that land title transfers go smoothly.
The Iowa Finance Authority recently gave away over 3 Million Dollars in housing grants! The funds will aid in the development and preservation of affordable housing in communities throughout the state through the State Housing Trust Fund’s Local Housing Trust Fund Program.
