The Kansas Housing Resources Corporation, or KHRC, is a subset of the Kansas Development Finance Authority that aims to develop housing in the communities of Kansas. KHRC works through many avenues to meet this goal, including rental assistance, the creation of housing ownership opportunities, rental assistance programs, encouraging energy efficiency to assist with monthy bills, and the development of housing projects throughout Kansas, especially for low-income groups and seniors.

The new state-funded housing initiative, signed into law by Governor Kathleen Sebelius in April, will help 10 communities build housing and infrastructure, such as streets, water and sewer systems.
