Since 1972 the Kentucky Housing Corporation has worked to put a roof over the head of the citizens of Kentucky. Mortgage bonds allow the funding of programs geared toward lower income individuals and families through a variety of rental and housing opportunities. Over eighty two thousand families have been helped to buy their first home, and another twenty seven thousand have received rental assistance. Free home owner counseling, education and advice are available as well as home repair assistance. The KHC works with local builders, lenders, and developers to ensure quality housing at an affordable price

Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) is pleased to announce the latest round of funding from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF). During the May 2008 supplemental round, KHC received 11 applications requesting more than $1,500,000 to produce over 60 units. Kentucky Housing awarded $1,018,414 to six recipients to produce new single-family housing or to preserve existing homes, totaling 27 units this round.
